Eagles Blockbuster Lions have reportedly Agreed on A Trade Proposal of $45 Million, Edge rusher to Detriot…

Edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson was the Detroit Lions’ breakout player, but they have had trouble matching up a reliable pass rusher with the second-year standout.

An insider speculates that a spectacular trade this offseason could bring in the missing piece. The Lions are the front-runners to sign Philadelphia Eagles edge rusher Haason Reddick, who is anticipated to find a new home for the upcoming season, according to Ian Valentino of The 33rd Team.

As Valentino pointed out, a roster change in Philadelphia might be advantageous for the Lions.

Valentino stated, “A trade between top NFC competitors would be unusual but not unheard of.” Following the signing of Bryce Huff, the Philadelphia Eagles seem to be shopping Haason Reddick. It’s not ideal that neither Brandon Graham nor Nolan Smith would be included in the starting lineup due to the team’s depth in pass rushers.

According to Valentino, the Lions may be able to get Reddick for two draft picks this season, including their second-round pick. He projected that in return for Reddick, who is about to start the last year of a three-year, $45 million contract, the Lions would send picks No. 61 and No. 164 overall. Valentino did, however, add that the Lions might be prepared to forfeit their first-round pick in order to seal the trade, and the Eagles might wait for a better offer.

Two-time Pro Bowler Reddick, who was named to the second team of the NFL in 2022, is coming off a productive season with the Eagles in which he recorded 38 total tackles and 11 sacks. Reddick had the finest season of his career in 2022, recording 49 total tackles, 16.0 sacks, and a league-high five forced fumbles. That was one year ago.

Reddick would provide the Lions with another experienced edge rusher to complement Hutchinson, according to Valentino.
