Former Red sox superstar Big Papi Philosophy Have finally return, displaying the unwavering enthusiasm

After eight years of retirement, David Ortiz returned to the field, sporting a red, alternate Boston Red Sox jersey with the number 34 on the back. He wore jeans, gold-encrusted sunglasses, and more jewelry than any active player would dare, but he still had the contagious smile and unwavering enthusiasm that made him a face of Major League Baseball for more than ten years. Ortiz, along with fellow countryman and former Red Sox teammate Pedro Martinez, threw out the opening pitch of the Dominican Republic Series, a preseason game between his old team and the Tampa Bay Rays.

The exhibition marked the beginning of an ambitious new chapter in Major League Baseball’s efforts to increase its global footprint. This endeavor is expected to inspire new players who may one day have the same influence both on and off the field as David Ortiz, in addition to bringing in new fans and increasing merchandise sales.

In addition to being a seven-time Silver Slugger, ten-time All-Star, and first-ballot hall of famer, Ortiz won three World Series titles with the Red Sox from 2004 to 2013. More than anything else, though, he remains one of the most well-known and attractive characters in the game. In addition to being made fun of by “Saturday Night Live,” he has founded a cannabis business, hit 541 home runs, taken a photo with Barack Obama, and established a charity that provides training in pediatric cardiac care in New England hospitals.
