Troy Deeney says he had the opportunity to play for Aston Villa earlier in his career, but he declined to fulfill a crucial requirement of the agreement.The former striker for Birmingham City nearly left Watford in 2013, with moves being considered at the time by Villa and Scottish powerhouses Cetlic.
