LB Bryce Huff $51.1 million 3-years Contract with The Philadelphia Eagles Have been Terminated due to Proceeding…

Nineteen of the Alabama high school and college players who became unrestricted free agents at that point signed contracts for at least the 2024 season since the NFL’s 2024 business year commenced at 3 p.m. CDT on March 13.

However, 16 more Alabama football players who were granted unrestricted free agency still have that status. The following players still require contracts in order to compete in 2024:

The New York Jets have one goal when it comes to their internal free agents.

The Jets need to get a deal done with Bryce Huff before they can focus on retaining any other player.

Huff is coming off a 10-sack season that generated interest from across the NFL.

The Jets can’t afford to lose a pass-rusher of Huff’s caliber as they attempt to ascend back up the AFC East standings in 2024.

The other internal free agents may be easier to let go, but a deal for Huff at a strong market value has to be the priority.

Huff’s 10-sack, 21-quarterback hit 2023 campaign earned him a raise.

The fifth-year athlete had 11 more QB hits in the 2022 campaign and boosted his sack total by 6.5.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Jets announced last week that they would not apply the franchise tag on Huff.

Huff was ranked No. 4 among edge rushers in the free agent class by Pro Football Focus. Teams that lose out on Brian Burns, Josh Allen, and Danielle Hunter would be interested in signing him if he decides not to re-sign with the Jets.
