RORY MCLLROY TO PGA TOUR OFFICIALS: “F-IT, DO WHAT YOU WANNA DO!”…

In the second season of the Netflix documentary Full Swing, Rory McIlroy’s indignant response to the PGA Tour’s “merger” announcement with LIV Golf’s Saudi investors was documented. On March 6, the on-the-ground documentary became available on the streaming service. As one may expect, McIlroy appears frequently in the program. Because to the rise of the rival LIV Golf League during the last two years, he has become a major player in the men’s professional golf scene.

Since the tour’s inception, McIlroy, 34, has battled against the Saudi Arabia-backed circuit and the players who have joined for staggering sums of money. However, like the rest of the sporting world, the Northern Irishman was caught off guard by the news that was announced on June 6, 2023. As he was getting ready to play in the RBC Canadian Open, PGA Tour boss Jay Monahan appeared on national television alongside Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the powerful Saudi businessman who is the mastermind behind LIV Golf. McIlroy’s partner Justin Thomas also appeared equally confused. The cameras followed McIlroy as he got into a car on his way to Oakdale.

In the episode The Game Has Changed Part 2, McIlroy stated, “There is a palpable vibe of confusion and anger.” “Because as of right now, all we know is that we’ve basically entered into an agreement, but we’re not sure exactly what that agreement entails.” “What took place?
