All suffered a season-ending knee injury midway through the 2023 season, and he was sidelined last December when the Hawkeyes and Wolverines met at Lucas Oil Stadium for the Big Ten Championship. The tight end spent part of pregame and postgame reconnecting with his former teammates as U-M won the conference title en route to a national championship.

“It was very sweet. Michigan went on to obviously win the national championship. I loved every bit of it,” All said. “I was watching, cheering the guys on. It was just crazy. I felt like I was there. I reached out to the guys and congratulated them. I had a good season as well. Unfortunately, I got hurt. But I looked at it as a very sweet moment and loved every bit of it.”

All called his Michigan coaches “some of the best coaches that I’ve had” and said he isn’t surprised to see Jim Harbaugh earning another NFL opportunity while others on his staff got promotions. Though he heaped plenty of praise on the staff in Iowa City, he said he learned the fundamentals of becoming a tight end during his lengthy career with the Wolverines.

“They pretty much taught me everything that a tight ends needs to know. Being a tight end, they taught me everything,” he said. “And honestly, my first tight end coach was Sherrone Moore. Second was Coach [Jay] Harbaugh. And then I had G-Ne

“Coach Moore was the type of coach that was a perfectionist. You had to do everything perfect, everything how he coached you. Coach Jay Harbaugh was a teacher. He taught you all the little things; he taught you pretty much everything you need to know on the defensive side of the ball. … And G-News, a he was a great offensive lineman at Michigan. So he taught me everything with blocking and with footwork, pass pro. I felt like just having a different variety of coaches at Michigan helped me out a lot and having that propelled me to be the tight end I am now.”
