Interviewing the temporary offensive coordinator is how the Bills have started their hunt for a new offensive coordinator.

Joe Brady is the first applicant the Bills are interviewing for the full-time position, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.After the Bills fired Ken Dorsey in Week 11, Brady assumed control of the offense. In the nine games Brady was the interim coordinator, the team averaged 27.4 points per week.

This week, Brady received a vote of confidence from Josh Allen, and General Manager Brandon Beane praised the work Brady and Allen accomplished together.

“I really appreciated the communication I saw between the two of those guys, the collaboration,” stated Beane. “That’s important, because Josh is the gunslinger back there, but he is also that coordinator on the field.”Brady, who has coached the Bills’ quarterbacks the previous two seasons, participated in interviews for the position of head coach with the Falcons.

Deebo Samuel, a 49ers wide receiver (shoulder), did not participate in practice on Wednesday, as coach Kyle Shanahan had previously announced.

During the divisional playoff victory against the Packers, Samuel sustained an injury to his left shoulder, the same shoulder that lost him two games earlier this season.
