Journalist Sacha Tavolieri from Belgium claims that Club Brugge is requesting that Tottenham pay a higher price for Antonio Nusa than what has been published in recent days.Over the past 24 hours, a number of sources have indicated that Tottenham appears to be close to finalizing Nusa’s signing.

The Premier League team has given Nusa permission to stay at Brugge until the end of the season, and TEAMtalk even reported on Thursday afternoon that Spurs are hoping to finalize an agreement for £26 million in a matter of hours and that the North London club was “closing in” on the winger.Club Brugge wants to pay Antonio Nusa a higher amount.Tavolieri has since resorted to social media to clarify that Tottenham wants to equal the €36 million (£31 million) that Brugge obtained from AC Milan in exchange for Charles De Ketelaere. The reporter implies that Nusa is eager to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but he doesn’t say whether Ange Posteocoglou’s team is willing to pay that asking amount.

It would be ideal if the two teams could come to an agreement before the transfer deadline of February 1. If the Nusa deal did go down to the wire, that makes it more improbable that Tottenham would also be able to get a midfielder through the door.To stay informed about the most recent developments regarding Tottenham, make sure to follow SpursWeb on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
