JUST IN: Bills Head Coach Sets To Leave For…..

Bills Head Coach Sets To Leave For…..

The Bills offseason has officially begun following a dramatic and especially harsh finale to their 2023 season at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL playoffs’ Divisional Round. The selection of the offensive coordinator for Buffalo at the beginning of the 2024 season is just one of the many significant choices that will need to be made. Following Ken Dorsey’s firing during the season, the Bills relied on quarterbacks coach Joe Brady for the remainder of the campaign. After Buffalo’s season took a dramatic turn for the better, Joe Brady will now have the opportunity to apply for the full-time job.

“Interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady will interview for the full-time job as the #Bills begin their offensive coordinator search in earnest,” sources told ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler. “Brady has proven himself as the play caller over the course of nine games, and Josh Allen has endorsed him for the position.”

Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, expressed nothing but admiration for the 34-year-old playcaller when speaking about his interim offensive coordinator.

“I’d welcome it wholeheartedly. According to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, Allen reportedly uttered, “I love Joe.” “I adore the juice and enthusiasm he has for football, which he contributes to our offense and this squad. How much effort he has made over the past seven to eight weeks of preparation for a difficult situation. Yes, I would accept it wholeheartedly. He has my vote, but clearly there are things that need to happen first. I know there will probably be an interview process and other procedures.

The 2019 LSU Tigers, an offensive powerhouse that averaged 48.4 points per game en route to one of the most convincing National Championship seasons in college football history, made Brady famous as their passing game coordinator. Brady then took his skills to the NFL, where he worked as the offensive coordinator for the Panthers for two forgettable seasons before joining Buffalo as the quarterbacks coach.

When Dorsey was fired, the Bills were 5-5. However, they finished the regular season 6-1, scoring an average of 27 points per game and rushing for 149.5 yards per game, an increase from just 116.5 yards under Dorsey. Joe Brady’s support from Allen and the Bills’ performance in the second part of the season should be sufficient to keep Brady in Buffalo.
