Toumani Camara, a forward with the Portland Trail Blazers, sustained a rib injury that ended his season. The youngster, who has been a constant bright spot in Portland’s otherwise dismal roster, left the game last Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks in the fourth quarter. The Blazers announced via Twitter today that Camara sustained a rib fracture and a minor cut to his kidney. Although a full recovery is anticipated, he will miss the remaining Portland schedule for 2023–2024.

There are eight games left for the Blazers before the end of the season. They have a 19–55 record as of right now.For the Blazers this season, Camara has made 70 appearances, starting 49 of them. In his first NBA season, he is averaging 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game while shooting 33.7% from the field and 45.0% from beyond the arc.
