New York Knicks Have Reportedly Agreed Terms With Donovan Mitchell on a $55.8 Million Contract, adding some potential.

In light of this, FLW discussed Birmingham City’s winter interest in Gallagher with former England international midfielder Carlton Palmer.

Palmer was questioned on if the Blues should try to get Gallagher on a free transfer this summer and whether they should rekindle their interest in him.

Palmer told Football League World that “Birmingham City might be looking to re-sign Sam Gallagher – his contract’s up at Blackburn Rovers in the summer.”

“He has already collaborated with Tony Mowbray, and Birmingham City will undoubtedly wait to see where they stand in the division.

They are in major difficulty since they are now fighting for relegation and Tony Mowbray is out on medical leave.

The Cavaliers defeated the Knicks in 2022 to acquire Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz in exchange for guard Collin Sexton, forward Lauri Markkanen, guard Ochai Agbaji, three unprotected first-round picks (2025, 2027, and 2029), and two pick swaps (2026 and 2028). How Knicks-Jazz Donovan Mitchell Talks Collapsed Mitchell acknowledged during his Cleveland press conference on September 14, 2022, that he was considering returning to New York.

After the Jazz-Cavaliers trade was finalized on September 1, 2022, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported, “New York had the assets Utah preferred and the sides seemed to be inching closer to a trade Sunday night and into Monday, but the Knicks balked on including Quentin Grimes in a trade with RJ Barrett to acquire Mitchell, sources said.” When guard Immanuel Quickley was proposed as a replacement for Grimes in the trade, Utah wanted three unprotected first-round draft picks as part of the package — but New York would only do a third first-round pick that included top-five protections, sources said.
