Red sox have made unexpected as they Signed $150 million, A New Major League Deal with Anderson…

Anderson was released from his minor-league deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates and then almost immediately signed a new major-league deal with the Boston Red Sox. He’s expected to be on the club’s Opening Day roster as a long reliever or fifth starter.

Journeyman pitcher Chase Anderson, who was a member of the Detroit Tigers organization for the majority of 2022, has had a nice weekend.

After being cut from his minor-league contract by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Anderson signed a new major-league contract with the Boston Red Sox practically right away. He is anticipated to be a fifth starter or long reliever on the team’s Opening Day roster.

Prior to the 2022 season, he signed a minor-league contract with the Tigers, but he did not join the team after spring training. When he chose to opt out of his contract with the Tigers in mid-July, he was leading the Mud Hens in innings pitched and games started.

Since leaving Detroit, he has also pitched for the Colorado Rockies, Tampa Bay Rays, and Cincinnati Reds.

During the previous season, Anderson started 17 games for the Rockies, going 81 1/3 innings with a 5.75 ERA, 62 strikeouts, and 32 walks.

The Boston Red Sox’s home opener against the Baltimore Orioles is scheduled for April 9. The organization will pay tribute to the late Tim and Stacy Wakefield, who both lost their battle with cancer, during that game. We now know why Curt Schilling, a former teammate, has already said that he won’t be at the game.
