During the offseason, he took part in both the Shrine Bowl and the Hula Bowl. In 2022, he was a member of the All-MAC First Team.

Gant left Ohio State to play much better at Toledo after transferring. With the Buckeyes, he only managed 54 tackles in four seasons; however, he recorded 116 tackles in both seasons with the Rockets. Gant did well playing at a different level of competition. Gant weighs 230 pounds and is 6-foot-3. He appears tall and lean on video. He moves well for a linebacker in the modern era since he can stop both passes and runs. Gant’s versatility should intrigue teams since he can be deployed in a variety of offensive roles.
