The franchise projects to have over $50 million salary cap space in the summer…

Zach LaVine was meant to usher in a new era of prosperity for the Chicago Bulls. Following the purported failure of LaVine’s mid-season trade request to be fulfilled throughout the season, it appears the team is willing to let him go. Renowned Bulls insider K.C. Johnson revealed that a team source claims they’ll let go of LaVine in the summer and that the team almost traded for him to the Pistons in the winter.

“Nevertheless, the Bulls made contact with the Detroit Pistons in the run-up to the trade deadline on February 8 but were unable to move LaVine. The Bulls plan to try to trade LaVine again during the offseason, according to a source.”

There are many things that I find inoffensive. From the start of my profession to now, my name has been mentioned numerous times. I wouldn’t be in this position now if I allowed other people’s ideas to bother or affect me. Thus, I continue being myself out there. We’ve not really spoken to anyone, but we’ll keep moving forward. Helping the guys play and being myself out there is my major goal. I’m aware that I usually have an influence on the floor, both offensively and defensively.

Over the summer, the Pistons might resurface if they showed interest in LaVine during the winter. In the summer, the franchise anticipates having over $50 million in salary cap space. They might think about moving for LaVine easily and absorbing his money into their space if they don’t feel comfortable investing for a star in free agency in a weak class. The Bulls would also benefit greatly from this, as the team would not have to accept matching salary in exchange.
