The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver room has been the talk of the 2023-24 season and continues to be the primary focus of the offseason. Even though the franchise won a second straight Super Bowl after trading for All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill, there are still questions about the talent in the room in Kansas City. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes’

greatness shouldn’t be taken for granted, nor should it limit Travis Kelce’s resurgent postseason. As Kelce ages and NFL defenses look to improve next season, that would help. With that in mind, ESPN’s Aaron Schatz projects some serious help for the Chiefs. In his list of bold offseason moves for all 32 NFL teams, Schatz suggests Kansas City sign Mike Evans and also include potential first-round pick Keon Coleman. Here’s more: Start with the best player on the market – and he just so happens to already have his own ring. Yes,

Evans turns 31 this year, but he’s still playing at a high level. Evans was 23rd in DVOA among eligible wide receivers last season and has 10 straight years with at least 1,000 receiving yards. And he’s money in the red zone, with 13 touchdowns last season. Imagine Patrick Mahomes throwing to Evans on one side, Rashee Rice on the other, and Travis Kelce in the middle. It’s

enough for the Principality to start planning another party. And what about Evans’ age? Start preparing for the inevitable by using this No. 32 on another wide receiver who could step in for years to come. Florida State’s Keon Coleman has similar size and would be an ideal successor to Evans. It would be an understatement to say it would promote a new look receiver group. The wide trio of Evans, Coleman and Rashee Rice reads a lot different on paper than any combination led by Rice and a few Super Bowl backups. Not only does this add depth and consistency to the upside, it also creates legitimate intrigue in the cap space.Read more:
