The Michigan football team just won the national championship last month and now the College Football Playoff committee is being formed for next season. The committee is made up of athletic directors from across the conference, and in 2024, the committee will have one interested member as chairman. Wolverines AD Warde Manuel is the chairman of the College Football Playoff committee next season. After winning all of this, the commission is chaired by AD of Michigan.

.It’s an interesting move by the College Football Playoff committee, and it’s also interesting given the current state of Michigan’s athletic department. Apparently Jim Harbaugh just left Michigan football for the NFL and some fans are blaming Warde Manuel. He is now the chairman of the College Football Playoff Committee..”Michigan AD Warde Manuel is the new chairman of the @CFBPlayoff electedcommission,” Brett McMurphy tweeted. “Newcomers: Washington State AD Patrick Chun,

Arizona State DL Randall McDaniel, Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel, Baylor AD Mack Rhoades, Virginia AD Carla Williams and Arkansas AD Hunter Yurachek.”.For anyone who might think that Manuel as chairman of the CFP committee gives Michigan an advantage going into the playoffs, it doesn’t. The committee is always chaired by an AD. Last year it was Boo Corrigan, NC State and AD. The entire committee consists of ADs and all decisions are made by the group.

.There has been talk in the Michigan community for the past few weeks that they would like to move Warde Manuel to AD. It’s all rumours, but the fan base is definitely not happy with him. They are not happy that Harbaugh left, although it could have nothing to do with Manuel, and many fans are not happy that Juwan Howard is still coaching the basketball team. Anything can happen, but Manuel’s chairmanship of the Joint Fisheries Policy Committee in 2024 is likely to mean he won’t be leaving..
