While Tennessee has been pretty successful so far on the 2025 recruiting front, sometimes things don’t go your way. On Saturday night, Carrollton High School cornerback Shamar Arnoux announced his retirement from the Volunteers. Cornerback prospect from Arnoux, Georgia, Tennessee, is the first commitment in the 2025 class.

He is also a former teammate of Vols corners Dylan Lewis and Tyler Redmond. Arnoux visited Georgia on Saturday before announcing his commitment to the University of Tennessee. He visited with current high school teammate and USC quarterback Julian Lewis. The Volunteers continue to have a very successful class and still have several top defensive back options on the table.

The 2025 prospect posted a photo of his visit to Georgia on X with the caption visit struck a chord. and quot; The Volunteers had plenty of visitors on campus, including top targets like Cameron Sparks, Ethan Utley and more. It was unusual for a commitment to visit another school when their choice of school held an important recruitment event, such as a youth day. Many thought it was strange; however, with the latest news, it all started to come together. For the Volunteers with the 11th recruiting class, 247Sportsand#039; Combination on the main board.

The 2024 Senior Bowl was held on Sunday and is typically considered a showcase for the nation’s top NFL draft picks. Unfortunately, former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Joe Milton III had a rough day. Pro Football Focus covered the issue on social media and felt the wrath of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders over it.

Milton is widely regarded as the quarterback with the truest arm skills in the upcoming draft. But during his college career, he was largely viewed as an unpolished player who may be more of an athlete than a true quarterback at this point..

The Tennessee product has had his share of struggles in the game.
