Leeds have yet to complete any deals this month with less than 48 hours to go and a number of positions still need confirmation in the eyes of Daniel Farke. One player Farke has worked hard to sign is Everton’s Ben Godfrey, who he previously worked under at Norwich City. However,

the possibility of a transfer was really in doubt last night as Sean Dyche replaced Godfrey for 90 minutes in Everton’s 0-0 draw at Fulham.Leeds man Godfrey crossfireDyche admitted last week that Godfrey was frustrated with his lack of game time this season as he made just his second start of the season in the Premier League on Tuesday night.Amid the ongoing speculation, however, the real sign of Dyche is that he continues to see Godfrey as part of the plans and certainly suggests that a move to Leeds is far from imminent..The 26-year-old has already turned down one loan offer at Leeds and is expected to return with another, but his strong performance last night could end any hopes of him leaving.

This would be a real bitter blow for Leeds as he would be a great signing at this level as he can play anywhere in the back four.Leeds have already seen the end of Ben Johnson, Calvin Ramsay and Neco Williams and Dyche’s latest move does not bode well for their hopes of signing Godfrey..It hasn’t been a good week for Leeds on the transfer front. First, he lost right-back Daiki Hashioka to Luton Town before Southampton won the race for David Brooks. Manuel Benson is not leaving Burnley either..
