Following Jordan Henderson’s disruption of the Saudi agreement, Steven Gerrard is “plotting a double raid on Liverpool.

After spending twelve years with Liverpool, Henderson relocated to the Middle East in the summer and has made seventeen appearances for Al-Etiffaq. However, the hugely popular player, who faced harsh criticism for the move, has not lived up to the standards he set while playing in the Premier League and will soon be joining Ajax.

After ending Henderson’s contract, Al-Etiffaq reportedly had £8 million to spend in the market. They are now contemplating loan deals for former Reds player Roberto Firmino and former Celtic star Jota, both of whom are presently playing in Saudi Arabia. This information comes from transfer specialist Ben Jacobs. However, in the summer, the team will also consider Thiago and Matip.

Following surgery for a hip injury at the close of the previous season, Thiago has not yet appeared in any games this year. According to Liverpool assistant manager  LijndePepijnrs, the Spain international will “not be ready for the end of this month.” The 32-year-old, who left Bayern Munich to join the Reds in 2020, has made 97 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s squad but is not under contract at

In the first half of the season, Matip started nine Premier League games for his team; however, during their matchup with Fulham at the beginning of December, he sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Following a successful procedure, he is now recuperating from the setback.atip left Schalke on a free transfer and has been a member of Liverpool since the summer of 2016. He is also out of contract in the summer after accruing 201 appearances for the Merseyside giants.After taking over as manager of Al-Etiffaq in the summer, Gerrard has failed to impress in the Middle East, as his team has only won six of the first 19 Saudi Pro League games this season. The formerfootballer, who had previously guided Rangers to the Scottish Premiership,was fired by Aston Villa in October 2022.Nearly his whole playing career, Gerrard was a member of Liverpool, where he helped the team win the Champions League in 2005. The former England player, who spent eighteen months with Los Angeles, hung up his boots in 2017.
