NFL playoffs in 2024: top former CFB recruits in the divisional round include Jadeveon Clowney and Rashan Gary

Wisconsin’s co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach is Colin Hitschler, a source confirmed to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.Hitschler played for Wisconsin in 2023. He played with Cincinnati for five seasons prior. He contributed to the Bearcats finishing with the best pass defense in the country in 2021. The native of Philadelphia served as an assistant coach at Arkansas State (2013) and South Alabama (2014–17). In addition, he was an assistant for the Eagles (2009) and Chiefs (2010).

Only eight college football recruits who have had ratings of 100 or higher since the Top247 period began in 2010 will be participating in this week’s NFL playoff divisional round. We’re ranking these former top prospects based on their high school recruiting profiles, taking a look back at their university and professional careers. No one was surprised by Anderson’s huge impact in his rookie season as a five-star signing. As the first college football player to win the Nagurski Trophy twice, he went on to become one of the most decorated players in Alabama football history. His résumé also included multiple other honors, such as two consecutive selections to the All-American team, two SEC Defensive Player of the Year titles, the Bednarik Award, the Lott Trophy, and a national championship. In the 2023 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Houston Texans with the third overall pick. This season, he has accumulated 45 tackles and 7.0 sacks, including one against the Browns in the wild-card round last week.

For the three years of his tenure in Eugene, Armstead lived up to the hype. In 2014, as a junior, he recorded 46 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. He showed improvement with each passing season. He was selected by San Francisco with the 17th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, and he has been a member of the team ever since. To far, he has amassed 33.5 career sacks, including 5.0 in 12 games this year. Due to chronic knee and foot problems, he hasn’t played since December 3. However, he should be back for the divisional round matchup with Green Bay.

Tunsil became one of the most formidable linemen to join the college ranks in recent memory, building on his 2013 SEC All-Freshman accolades. After receiving consecutive first-team All-SEC selections to cap off his college career, he was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 13th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Prior to this season, he inked a three-year, $75 million contract extension with the Houston Texans. He has appeared in four Pro Bowls during his career.Jones is the player who has committed to Mississippi State with the highest rating since the beginning of the decade. During his three years with the Bulldogs, he racked up 102 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks. The Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, at pick No. 37 overall. Jones, who is regarded as one of the greatest defensive tackles of the modern age, has two Super Bowl victories and four All-Pro selections during his career.
