However, the Red Sox must select just 26 players for their Opening Day roster by Thursday. With all of the ailing Red Sox right now, the roster is sure to change a lot over the season.

While Vaughn Grissom recovers from a groin injury, there will be depth alternatives in the infield on the Opening Day roster. Due to a fractured toe, Rob Refsnyder is also out and will probably end up on the major league roster when he returns. Changes are coming everywhere.

The Red Sox’s performance this spring has pleasantly surprised both fans and reporters. Their offense has recently exploded at a run, and their pitching is better than anticipated.
