Steve Sarkisian, the coach of the Texas Longhorns, is becoming more active on the transfer portal. With the acquisition of two offensive weapons in the last few days, quarterback Quinn Ewers should be able to record massive figures in 2024. Sarkisian is still thinking about the ball’s defensive end. Kendrick Blackshire, a former linebacker for Alabama, declared his commitment to the program.
Sarkisian has acquired other defensive pieces this offseason besides Blackshire. Trey Moore of UTSA was the biggest prize, but adding a player like Blackshire will bolster the team. At Alabama, he was never able to locate the field for defense. Blackshire spent three seasons primarily on special teams, totaling 25 tackles, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. Regarding the change, the gifted linebacker expressed his thoughts.
