Amik Robertson Agreed A $155 million Deal to leave Raiders for Detroit Lions…

When Amik Robertson was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, there was a lot of hype surrounding him.

Being a hard-nosed ballhawk at Louisiana Tech, he was a favorite among many draft analysts. In the end, Robertson had ups and downs during his four seasons with the Raiders, but he also showed flashes and was a respectable backup player.

Now that he is a member of the Detroit Lions, Robertson will aim to keep becoming better. He intends to sign a two-year contract with the Lions, according to NFL Media.

Along with defensive lineman Bilal Nichols (Arizona Cardinals), running back Josh Jacobs (Green Bay), and tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (New York Giants), he is the fourth free agent from Las Vegas to have accepted a turn elsewhere thus far. The Raiders could be in line for a 2025 comp pick, depending on what they do in free agency (they have already signed quarterback Gardner Minshew and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins).

The Raiders now have no players on the roster from their 2020 draft class after Robertson’s departure. There were two first-round selections and three third-round selections in the class.

Prior to Robertson’s departure, it was anticipated that the Raiders would search for cornerback support. They may select several players at the position in the draft and through free agency. At cornerback for the Raiders right now are Cornell Armstrong, Sam Webb, Brandon Facyson, Jakorian Bennett, Jack Jones, and Nate Hobbs.
