Coleridge is available for parole in 2040 after being found guilty on charges of carjacking, kidnapping, robbery, and criminal sexual battery relating to an incident involving drugs.Coleridge stated that he “spent nearly 20 years as a successful businessman, pastor, homeowner, husband, and father” during his 2018 appeal, according to Sports Illustrated. His “life spun out of control again and he began using illegal drugs again after more than 20 years of sobriety” following his wife’s 2012 divorce filing.C.J. was so affected by Coleridge’s imprisonment that they were unable to converse forDespite having a record-breaking rookie season in the NFL, C.J. shifted the focus of his postgame press conference on November 5 from himself to criminal justice reform.”I had the opportunity to speak with my father this week, and I’m pleading with God that he will be able to attend one of these games. Our criminal justice system is flawed, and I should probably be more outspoken about it,” C.J. stated during his press conference following the game. “My dad’s circumstance is not unique; the criminal justice system as a whole is tainted. I don’t understand why some of the jails in Mississippi that I’ve been watching videos of had bugs and rats in them.
