Tennessee has pursued several passers on the recruiting trail recently, including Lower Cape May Regional High School wide receiver Braswell Thomas. At 6-2 and 185 pounds, Thomas is ranked No. 675 in the 2025 class by 247Sportsand#039; Combination on the main board. Volunteers have been behind for a while, and he recently spoke with Volunteer State to update his recruiting efforts. andquot;My recruitment is definitely going well. I’m definitely having fun trying to focus everything and train hard.andquot; After the opening speech, Thomas was asked which schools stood out for him.
andquot;Syracuse for sure, as well as Tennessee. Hopefully I’ll look better on my next visits, andquot; the talented prospect 2025 said. He took time to share why Syracuse and Tennessee stood out. Syracuse: andquot;I’m very close with coach Fran [Brown] and the environment was great, even at the football game. I also can’t wait to see their new renovations and stuff!andquot;
Tennessee: andquot;Coach [Josh] Heupel is a very outgoing person. And I really love that competitiveness. A very special place and a great culture too.andquot; Asked about his relationship with the Tennessee staff, he said, quote: My relationship with Tennessee is great. I have a great relationship with Coach Heupel and a few other members of the staff because they communicate every day.andquot; Thomas believes he can bring something significant to a program like Tennessee.
andquot;I bring a lot of competitiveness and work endlessly for my team and give my all as much as possible.andquot; He has some visits planned; however, he intends to add to his list. So far, Thomas has an unofficial visit to Pittsburgh on February 3rd and an official visit to Nebraska on June 13th..
