Disclaimer’ trailer is 150 seconds of affairs, secrets and revenge

Cate Blanchett plays reporter-turned-blackmail victim in seven-episode psychological thriller Disclaimer, which follows a journalist who receive an anonymous novel that’s clearly been written about her own past.

The trailer keeps its secrets fairly close to its chest, but it looks like Alfonso Cuarón’s series will be chock-full of affairs, twists and revenge. Sacha Baron Cohen, Kevin Kline, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George and Hoyeon star in Apple TV+’s thriller based on Renée Knight’s novel of the same name.

Actress and producer Margot Robbie is set to star as “Catherine Earnshaw,” and Jacob Elordi as “Heathcliff,” in Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of “Wuthering Heights.” Fennell is set to write, direct and produce.

MRC is tapping LuckyChap to produce the upcoming feature film, based on the iconic romance novel by Emily Brontë, which was initially published in 1847 under her pen name “Ellis Bell.” This

Since Jordan was cast in January 2024, the supernatural horror has been shrouded in mystery. As details slowly began to emerge, like the fact that it’d be set in the ’30s, was inspired by anime and that it has franchise potential, though, the aforementioned studio acquired the distribution rights and kicked off filming in April. Principal photography wrapped in July.

Set in the South during the Jim Crow era, it follows Jordan’s character, a twin brother who return to his hometown in an attempt to leave his troubled life behind and start over. Unfortunately for him, though, there’s a greater evil than they’ve ever known waiting to welcome them back. Watch the promo above.
