Bryan Harsin- accused of kicking out former Auburn football players from JHS for talking to recruits

Bryan Harsin not only didn’t recruit himself, but he apparently didn’t want former Auburn football players recruiting anyone either

Auburn football’s Bryan Harsin era is already considered the most unpopular period for any program. But apparently, it was somehow worse than we all thought; with Opelika native and ex-NFL RB Corey Grant spilling the beans.

Grant shared details of being kicked out of the Harbert Family Recruiting Center at Jordan-Hare Stadium while simply talking to recruits.

“I was sitting in the Harbert Recruiting Center talking to recruits during a game,” Grant prefaced before saying, “I was escorted out (of) the stadium and asked to leave. Never gave me a reason.”

“Just to clear things up, this incident occurred during the Harsin era,” Grant added. He was responding to Josh Holsey, who first mentioned the idea.

“So I’ve (learned) that us former players have no room to go back to Auburn for the games! I’m highly disappointed to find this out,” Holsey prefaced before saying, “Seen guys say they had to purchase their own tickets to attend that’s tough.”

Bryan Harsin is the gift that keeps on taking away from Auburn football fans
Tiger fans didn’t need another reminder that Harsin was a leech on Auburn’s resources for nearly two years, all the while doing nothing to advance the program forward, but here it is.

The man who refused to recruit didn’t even let former players recruit, or even talk to recruits, during his time on the Plains.

Harsin isn’t responsible for the team’s current on-field failures, but he set the program back years by not stacking any talent whatsoever.

It’s just a pain to constantly be reminded of that with every new detail about those years.

Oklahoma Sooners Make Big QB Change, Bench Talented Jackson Arnold Against 2-2 Auburn

The Tigers are 2-2 to start the 2024 season, with losses to Cal and Arkansas but wins over Alabama A&M and New Mexico. Auburn has had quite the quarterback carousel, and may make another change before playing the Sooners. Oklahoma, on the other hand, is going to give Hawkins Jr the chance he deserves.

Hawkins Jr played in relief of starting quarterback Jackson Arnold against the Tennessee Volunteers in the loss. The quarterback recorded a touchdown and found a way to move the offense, which Arnold was unable to do. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel left Oklahoma to presumably make room for Arnold, and now Arnold has hit the bench before the fifth game of the season.

Quite a lot has gone wrong for Arnold and while the offensive line is partially to blame, the quarterback has not looked comfortable. Confidence is key as a quarterback but with a spotty offensive line it has been something that Arnold has struggled with the start the season. During his worst performance of his collegiate career, the Oklahoma staff and coach Venables decided they had enough.
