The Odessa Police Department has given an update Thursday night on the major motorcycle crash at 2nd St. and Royalty Avenue that occurred on Wednesday. OPD says the motorcyclist died at the scene of the crash.
According to OPD’s investigation, 22-year-old Jordan Ruscher, driving a white Yamaha R3 motorcycle, was going east in the 1600 block of East 2nd Street at a high rate of speed. The driver of a red GMC truck was going west on East 2nd Street and attempted to turn south into a private drive but was struck by Ruscher.
So far, it is known about 10 wounded as a result of the Russian attack. Among them is a 9-year-old boy, he is in a moderate condition in the hospital. Also, among the injured adults, a 22-year-old boy is in a serious condition, others injured in a medium degree of severity have been admitted to medical institutions of the city and region. A 35-year-old woman who was sleeping under the window died.
“As a result of the evening attack: an apartment building in the center of Odessa was destroyed, apartments caught fire, high-rise buildings, about three dozen cars were damaged, a fire broke out on the territory of a public institution and a two-story building,” — informed Oleg Kiper, head of Odesa OVA.
