Since then, the hockey world has come together to mourn the loss of the Gaudreau family and the two men who had a profound impact on the hockey community. Earlier Friday, many teams around the NHL made statements, including the Toronto Mapwhen Johnny Gaudreau was there.
After the tragic announcement of the passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, the family started a GoFundMe page. The purpose was to support Matthew Gaudreau’s widow Madeline and their family, who are expecting a son to be born shortly. Since the GoFundMe was created, many big names in the hockey community have donated including now Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving who gave $1,300.
