A British couple, aged 68 and 65, tragically lost their lives in a car crash in Portugal on Thursday. The incident occurred on the N125 road between Faro and Almancil, where their vehicle collided head-on with another car.
According to local reports, the couple was driving on the wrong side of the road, following UK rules instead of Portugal’s right-hand driving convention.
The couple was en route to the airport to catch a flight back to the UK when the accident happened around 6 am. Emergency services responded to the scene, but unfortunately, the couple succumbed to their injuries.
