Hull City transfer news: Chelsea Set To Sell Attacker To Hull City

Chelsea are closing in on sending one of their young attackers to Championship side Hull City and it would be a permanent deal, according to the BBC.

The Blues have a bloated squad as they continue to search for fresh faces, especially a striker, to bring in through the door.

Players are expected to be sent out of Stamford Bridge on a mixture of loans and permanent moves before the window shuts at the end of the month.

Young forward Mason Burstow is now closing in on an exit and it would be a permanent move.

Burstow, who spent last term on loan at Sunderland in the Championship, is poised to sign for Hull City.

The Tigers went close to getting a playoff spot last season and are determined to make another strong promotion bid this term.

Hull will want to quickly finalise the move and guard against any potential hijack attempts.

Burstow joined Chelsea from London rivals Charlton Athletic in the 2022 January transfer window.

Hull City appoint ‘maverick’ new recruitment chief as Lee Darnbrough replacement

Hull City have made a key appointment off the pitch at the MKM Stadium

Hull City have appointed Jared Dublin to their recruitment team with the American coming in to replace Lee Darnbrough, who departed earlier this summer.

Ironically, Darnbrough moved to the bet365 Stadium to replace Dublin, who left the Potteries after less than 12 months in the post following a shake-up.

Hull Live understands Dublin has been working with the Tigers for a period of time and has been working alongside Tan Kesler, director of football Beri Pardo and the rest of Acun Ilicali’s football team which includes Mustapha Yokes and Merthan Acil.

The former Potters man arrived at Stoke under former sporting director Ricky Martin and oversaw a flurry of transfer activity with the Staffordshire club. The likes of Andre Vidigal, Ryan Mmaee, Mehdi Leris, Wouter Burger and Nikola Jojic joined before Martin left to be replaced by ex-striker Jon Walters, who looked to make a number of changes to their recruitment setup, which included the arrival of Darnbrough.

During his 11-month spell at Stoke, Dublin’s tenure oversaw 24 arrivals which included four free transfers and 12 who the club paid a transfer fee for with seven coming in on loan. Sixteen of those recruits came from British-based clubs and the rest were from abroad.

Leeds United To Miss Out On Liverpool Star As Reds Agree Deal

Leeds United target Bobby Clark is being sold by Liverpool to Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg for £10m.

Whites boss Daniel Farke is in the market for reinforcements before the window closes and the club have held an interest in Clark.

The 19-year-old midfielder is highly rated at Liverpool, but the Reds have now made the decision to sell him and he will not be going to Leeds.

Liverpool have agreed to sell Clark to Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg for a fee of £10m.

The Reds have also inserted a sell-on clause worth 17.5 per cent in the deal.

Red Bull Salzburg are managed by former Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders, who rates Clark and has seen him at close quarters.

The England Under-20 international spent time in the youth ranks at Birmingham City and Newcastle United before joining Liverpool.

He won the EFL Cup, Jurgen Klopp’s last trophy at Liverpool, last season.
