The driver of the Pontiac Grand Prix, a 50-year-old man, suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of of the Acura RSX, Liseth Perez, 19, along with her passenger, sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the Saturn VUE Miguel Sanchez, 18, and three passengers in the car also sustained minor injuries.
All those injured in the accident were taken to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas for treatment.
