Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur has responded to reports down under that Canterbury Bulldogs forward Liam Knight is close to joining the club.
Reports surrounding Knight and a move to Headingley emerged via Wide World of Sports’ The Mole who reported that it would not be a “surprise” for Knight to make an immediate move to Leeds Rhinos.
The report read: “Don’t be surprised if Bulldogs forward Liam Knight ends up in Super League – and soon!In a situation similar to John Bateman’s loan move from the Tigers to Warrington last week, Leeds Rhinos have put out a request for Knight – who is struggling to get a run in the top side this season – to join them.”
Head coach Brad Arthur has now responded to that report, bluntly batting it back as he stated: “All the suggestions of the players that we might have been getting, I think Ian’s dealt with them and closed them down. They weren’t possibilities.”
