Birmingham :locked in talks with Fulham over m Jay Stansfield swoop

Birmingham City remain in talks with Fulham over an ambitious £6 million swoop for striker Jay Stansfield.

Last season’s player of the year after a successful loan spell, Stansfield is a priority target for Birmingham following their relegation to League One.

A number of Championship clubs have shown interest but Birmingham are bidding to pull off a huge statement of intent. Talks are ongoing between the two clubs.

The £6 million signing would be a record for League One, eclipsing the £4 million Sunderland paid for Wigan striker Will Grigg in 2019.

Gross to join Dortmund in £8m switch
Pascal Gross is set to leave Brighton after seven years at the club, with Borussia Dortmund on the brink of signing him for around £8 million.

Gross has been a key member of the Brighton squad since his arrival in English football in 2017 but is now close to sealing a return to his home country.

The 33-year-old was named Brighton’s player of the year last season and has made 228 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 30 goals and registering 45 assists.

McKenna has rejected an offer from Cardiff City and is available on a free transfer.

Stoke on brink of signing Gallagher
Stoke City are close to signing Blackburn Rovers striker Sam Gallagher for a fee of around £1.4 million.

Gallagher is booked in for a medical and is set to join Steven Schumacher’s squad in the next few days.
