The season ended differently for the Buffalo Bills than they had hoped. Buffalo had a dismal  start to the season, but they rebounded to win five straight games to end and secure the No. 2 spot in the AFC.

In order to secure a spot in the divisional round, the team hosted a playoff game and defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31–17. The outcome was the same even though the Bills were able to host the Kansas City Chiefs there rather than having to go to Arrowhead Stadium. The Bills finally lost to Patrick Mahomes and the Patriots once more because they were unable to get enough stops.

This implies that the Bills will have to draft well in 2024. They should be adding a compensatory third-round pick in addition to their first and second-round picks. However, the Bills need to nail those first two picks because they are really important. A few guys who are in places where Buffalo needs them stick out as choices that the Bills need to figure out how to choose in the April draft.

Although Stefon Diggs is excellent, his output drastically decreased during the season. Diggs recorded at least 70 receiving yards in seven of Buffalo’s first nine games of the 2023 season, from Week 1 to Week 9. But starting in Week 10, Diggs only reached that amount in two of Buffalo’s final two games of the regular season, including the postseason.

Diggs was a different player in the second half of the season, whether it was due to his play or defenses keying to take him away. It wasn’t just him, though.
