Sad news:Indiana fever head coach sack of a key player read more..

The Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark have figured things out as of late. They have a 5-10 record, which isn’t ideal, but they have won four of six games to start June and are trending in the right direction after defeating the Chicago Sky on Sunday in another Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark showdown.

The Fever are still without a key player in Temi Fagbenle, who has been out since the end of May as she nurses a foot injury. However, Fever coach Christie Sides gave an update on Fagbenle’s status (h/t Matthew Byrne).

  1. I don’t know how close she is. But just to have her out there and to have her voice and her leadership, she’s huge for us. It just gives you a sense of hope that it’s going to be sooner than later.” Fagbenle suffered the injury against the Los Angeles Sparks on May 28 and has been out ever since, but Sides says having her around is huge for the team.
