France captain Antoine Dupont has added to his ridiculous trophy haul, taking his personal tally to 26.

At the age of 27, Dupont has collectively racked up 27 awards from his performances for club and country.

2017
In 2016, Toulouse loosened the purse strings to lure one of the most promising talents in French Rugby away from their rivals, Castres.

Playing in his final season for Castres, Dupont enjoyed a stellar run of form, notching up 35 appearances across the season, and the then 21-year-old picked up his first individual honour as he was named the Breakthrough Player of the Season at the Nuit du Rugby Awards evening.

2018
A cruciate ligament rupture in his first season at Toulouse limited his game time for club and country, having made his Test debut in November 2017. This meant that he did not pick up any awards, while his club also failed to win any silverware.

2019
Having fully recovered from his injury from the season before, Dupont inspired Toulouse to their first Top 14 title in seven years and his first as a professional. His performances throughout the season also saw him pick up the coveted Midi Olympique Golden Award for the first time.

2020

Midi Olympique also honoured him with a third Golden Award and his first World Oscar, the French publication’s pick for the best player in the world.

His stellar year was rounded off as he collected the EPCR European Player of the Year award and was named the World Rugby Player of the Year as well.

2022
Toulouse were unable to defend either of their titles in 2022 but Dupont enjoyed success with the national side, captaining them to their first Six Nations Grand Slam and title in 12 years.

Again, he was named the Six Nations Player of the Championship, becoming only the third player – after Brian O’Driscoll and Stuart Hogg – to claim the award more than once.

He was again crowned the best international of the season at the Nuit du Rugby Awards evening and also won the Midi Olympique Golden Award for the fourth time and his second World Oscar. Dupont was nominated for a second World Rugby Men’s XV award but was beaten to the honour by Ireland’s Josh van der Flier.

2023
While France finished runners-up to Ireland again in the Six Nations, Dupont was still named the Six Nations Player of the Championship – the third time he had won the award.

However, Toulouse did claim another title in 2023, winning the Top 14 for the third time since Dupont arrived.

Despite Toulouse’s Top 14 success, Dupont was not amongst Midi Olympique’s three finalists for the Golden Award, but he did win the World Oscar for the third time in succession.

He would then go on to lead France at their home Rugby World Cup, where they were ultimately knocked out in the quarter-finals by eventual champions South Africa.

In November 2023, he was crowned the Top 14 Player of the Season – for a second time – and the International Player of the Season for the third time at the Nuit du Rugby Awards evening.

2024
The year after the World Cup in France has been a unique one in Dupont’s career as he juggles his dream of winning Olympic gold in Paris with the sevens side while also switching back and forth with the Toulouse squad.
