Former LSU Tigers offensive lineman Takla Zalance Heard is enrolled in classes in the Tennessee student directory, according to multiple reports. Heard was the best offensive lineman available on the transfer portal and was identified early in the cycle by the Tennessee coaching staff. He could come in and compete for the starting left tackle spot; Heard has a lot of talent and now sees the football field in a wider role than he did in one season..Tennessee offensive line coach Glen Elarbee won’t be replacing as many starters next year as he originally thought, but the Vols have lost several offensive line contributors to the NCAA transfer portal. They were looking for another offensive tackle in Portal to come in and get snaps, and Heard was their top target.
