Sad News: hi is gone…….

The Baltimore Ravens and their fans faced a challenging free agency season due to a large number of players leaving the team. One area that felt particularly affected was the defensive line, where the Ravens’ pass rush appears to have suffered significantly. On Monday, May 13, the BR NFL Scouting Department reviewed each team’s top needs and suggested Carl Lawson as a viable choice. Lawson inked a three-year, $45 million contract with the New York Jets to improve the team’s pass-rush from 2021-2023.The Baltimore Ravens and their fans had to deal with a mass exodus of players during free agency.

However, as BR points out, “He dealt with a back injury for much of the 2023 campaign and was stuck in a deep defensive line rotation.”

Lawson was buried on the Jets’ defensive line, which was one of the most talented in the NFL, and he only appeared in six games and recorded five combined tackles. It was the first season in which the pass-rusher did not record a sack despite playing at least one game. “He’s only 28 and has solid production in previous seasons,” according to BR. Lawson might be a low-risk, high-reward type guy for GM Eric DeCosta to take a chance on because his cost is expected to be cheap.
