Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher’s School 2026 elite interior offensive lineman Darius Gray has been a long-time priority for Tennessee. He was most recently on campus in June, but he announced on Thursday afternoon that he plans to return later this campus.
Gray announced on his social media X account that he will visit for the UTEP game on November 23rd.
Gray has been impressed by Tennessee during his recruitment. He said as much in June.
“The people without a doubt,” Gray told Volquest in June. “The love for this place is there for me and my family, so we want to keep coming back as much as we can and be around it.”
Gray has built a strong relationship with multiple members of Tennessee’s staff, especially Glen Elar.bee and assistant offensive line coach Kevin Pendleton.
Coming out of the visit in June, Tennessee only helped its case with the top 50 prospect in the class.
“They are my favorite,” Gray said of this. “No doubt, they are up there for me in my top three.”
So far this season, Gray has visited Auburn and South Carolina for game-day experiences.
“There are three things that I am looking for in a school,” Gray told On3’s Chad Simmons in October. “The first thing is a school having a family atmosphere, so my mom doesn’t have to be worried about coaches having my back as much as I have theirs. The second thing is education. I want to major in sports communications and the third thing is player development. I want to grow as a human and as a player.”
Gray is currently rated as the No.25 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Rankings. He is also rated as the No.4 interior offensive line prospect in the class.
