CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. The Concord Volunteer Fire Department has released new information about a collision that took place on Village Highway on Saturday.
Firefighters told WFXR News that three people were taken to the hospital after three vehicles were involved in a crash near Oxford Furnace Road.

Firefighters said when they arrived at the scene, they learned a patient was trapped in a vehicle with their leg pinned by the dashboard. This prompted crews to begin extrication efforts. Once the patient was removed, they were treated by EMS.
As a result of three vehicles on the road, Village Highway was shut down for more than an hour as crews worked the scene. Firefighters tell WFXR News that the crash resulted in a damaged fuel tank on the pickup truck.
According to CVFD, there were no serious injuries.

UPDATE 11:31 A.M. CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. As crews work to clear the road on Oxford Furnace Road, the Virginia Department of Transportation says flaggers are alternating westbound traffic into the eastbound lane.
