Just Now 115 Student dies and FI seriously injured in a crash in Spain – Very sad news

I have raised the below concerns 24hrs before the fatal crash.

As a concerned aviation enthusiast, I must warn others about the severe safety issues I have witnessed at Flyby Flying School. This institution claims to provide quality flight training, but the reality is far from what they advertise.

The ground school instructors at Flyby possess alarmingly low levels of experience. Their knowledge gaps are evident in the classroom, where they struggle to adequately prepare students for the rigors of actual flight. This lack of expertise puts student pilots at great risk, as they are not receiving the comprehensive training required to fly safely.

Even more troubling are the unsafe practices I have observed from Flyby’s flight instructors. These low-experience pilots demonstrate a blatant disregard for proper protocols and standard operating procedures. Dangerous maneuvers, rushed decision-making, and a general cavalier attitude towards safety are commonplace. It is only a matter of time before this reckless behavior leads to a catastrophic incident.

Further compounding these issues is Flyby’s high instructor turnover rate. Safety specialists, tasked with upholding the school’s standards, have been resigning at an alarming pace. This constant churn of qualified personnel leaves glaring holes in the school’s ability to maintain even basic safety oversight.

In light of these grave concerns, I strongly urge the Spanish aviation authorities, as well as ICAO, to thoroughly investigate Flyby Flying School. The safety of student pilots and the general public is at stake. Drastic action must be taken to address these systemic problems before a tragedy occurs.

with a heavy heart as we mourn a tragic loss within the aviation community and the family of the young lady pilot who lost her life in the preventable accident at Flyby Burgos School. This is a day filled with sorrow and regret, as we reflect on the events that led to this heartbreaking incident.

Just 21 hours prior to the fatal crash, I raised serious concerns about the safety practices and operational standards at Flyby. Despite my warnings, it is evident that those in positions of authority, particularly the accountable manager, Mr. Alex, and the chief flight and ground instructor, have failed to take the necessary actions to address the visible precursors to this tragedy. Their negligence and focus on financial benefits over safety have resulted in a catastrophic outcome that could have been avoided.

The aviation community is small and tightly knit, and we share in the grief of this loss. It is imperative that those responsible for the safety of our aspiring pilots are held accountable for their actions—or lack thereof. The loss of life in such preventable circumstances is unacceptable, and we must ensure that this tragedy does not go unnoticed or unaddressed.

My thoughts and prayers are with the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. We must come together to honor the memory of the young pilot and work towards ensuring that our community prioritizes safety above all else.

  1. Sincerely,
