Broncos forward Xavier Willison and Dolphins utility Mason Teague are among the NRL stars in the Cook Islands squad for the Pacific Championships.

 

The 22-year-old Willison and Teague, 21, join Aitu stalwarts Brad Takairangi, Zane Tetevano, Esan Marsters and Reubenn Rennie in the Karmichael Hunt-coached side.

 

Rabbitohs prop Davvy Moale, Wests Tigers backrower Reuben Porter, Eels front-rower Makahesi Makatoa and Storm forward Tepai Moeroa are other NRL players in the squad to face Fiji in Suva on October 26 and PNG in Port Moresby on November 2.

13 Broncos have been named in the latest international selections for both the Pacific Championships and the England vs Toa Samoa Test Series.

 

The Australian Kangaroos and Jillaroos squads include a total of four Broncos for the upcoming Pacific Championships.

 

Patrick Carrigan, Julia Robinson, Ali Brigginshaw and Keilee Joseph have all earned their selections off the back of strong campaigns at club level.

Broncos speedster and 2024 top try-scorer, Deine Mariner has been selected in the Toa Samoa squad who will travel over to England for a two-game test series played in Wigan and Leeds.

For Fetu Samoa, Neta Nu’uausala, Destiny Brill and Jasmine Fogavini have all been named in the squad for the Pacific Championships.

 

Xavier Willison returns to the Cook Islands Aitu squad having made one appearance against Samoa in 2022.
