GREAT NEWS: Detroit lions have just gotten new uniforms

The official announcement from the Lions(Opens in a new window) described the home uniforms as “refreshed ‘Honolulu Blue. ‘ The home jersey welcomes back a classic white number font, and is paired with pants in true silver — the way it was meant to be.

In April, the Detroit Lions unveiled a set of new uniforms during a Lions Loyal Member-exclusive, that “convey a combination of the team’s modern era and the legacy of the historic franchise.”

Each of the trio of uniforms herald a name that is sewn into the back collar, including: “Motor City Muscle” for the black alternates, “One Pride” on the home Honolulu Blues and “The 313” for the road white uniforms.

For their Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on “Sunday Night Football,” Detroit took the field in their modern take on the most iconic Detroit Lions uniform ever worn.
