DEVASTATING INCIDENT:Detriot lions Stadium on fire because of…….

Mike McCarthy’s decision-making came under fire during the Dallas Cowboys’ blowout loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday, falling by the final score of 47-9.

Dallas struggled offensively throughout the contest, amassing just 251 total yards. Dak Prescott finished 17-of-33 for 178 yards, throwing two interceptions.

The Cowboys were repeatedly unable to sustain drives, converting a mere three of their 13 opportunities on third down. McCarthy’s squad also settled for field goals after the game was starting to get out of hand, as Brandon Aubrey hit a 50-yard attempt in the third quarter with Dallas already trailing 34-6 prior to the kick.

The rushing offense was also disappointing, with the Cowboys picking up just 53 yards on 17 attempts on the ground as a team.

Rico Dowdle appeared to be heading towards a larger role after receiving 20 carries during Dallas’ 20-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5. However, he rushed five times against Detroit on Sunday compared to eight carries for Ezekiel Elliott.

ESPN’s Shannon Sharpe ripped the Cowboys while the Lions attempted trick plays during the blowout.

After scoring 33 points in a season-opening victory over the Cleveland Browns, the Cowboys haven’t recorded more than 25 points in a game through five weeks since. With a 3-3 record, Dallas now sits in third place in the NFC East. McCarthy’s team needs to regroup following a Week 7 bye or else the buzz surrounding his coaching future will continue to increase.
