The driver and his best friend, who was the front seat passenger, died when their Vauxhall Corsa crashed head on with a car driven by an elderly man, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Robert Tepper and Jonathan Scott, both 17, were killed, along with Jonathan’s 16-year-old girlfriend, called Lauren, who was in the back seat.
Dozens of tributes have been left at the scene just outside Mexborough, South Yorkshire.
A steady flow of well-wishers visited the scene, travelling out of Mexborough towards Adwick-upon-Dearne, today.
Many were visibly upset and laid bunches of flowers at the foot of a signpost on grass opposite the Crow Tree Lane junction, in memory of the teenagers.
One read: ‘Lauren, Rob and Jon. Gone but never forgotten.
‘God only takes the best. You will be missed by everyone.’

A police spokesman said the collision happened around 8pm last night when the Corsa was overtaking a silver Fiat Punto on Adwick Road, near the junction with Crow Tree Lane.
A Vauxhall Astra had just overtaken the Fiat successfully and the Corsa then tried overtaking the Fiat.
The spokesman said: ‘Before it could complete the manoeuvre the Corsa collided head-on with a Volkswagen Golf travelling in the opposite direction.’
