Do their popularity or unpopularity affect the strength of the presidential ticket they are running on? Tim Walz enters the debate as a more well-liked politician by all measures. He does, in fact, have the highest “favorability” ratio out of the four contenders for president and vice president. Based on averages from FiveThirtyEight polls, Walz’s rating is 40 percent favourable and 36.5 percent unfavourable. In the meantime, Vance’s favorable/unfavorable ratio is 34.8 percent. The other candidates on their ticket also have a marked difference in popularity: Donald Trump is at 42.9 percent favorable/52.6 percent unfavourable, while Kamala Harris is at 47.5 percent favorable/46.2 percent unfavourable.
