HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – This meteorologist is now sounding like a broken record as Mother Nature has put the dry and unseasonably warm weather on repeat. So, if someone asks you what the weather will be like tomorrow, you can simply say that it will be like today.

A weak surface trough will traverse across the area overnight and through the day tomorrow. Just a few clouds overnight and a change in wind direction will be the only evidence of the existence of the trough as there will be no rain coming with this. It will be another quiet night as lows dip back to the upper 40s and low to mid 50s. Temperatures will be a little cooler out west on Friday, but will just be more in line with the rest of the area as highs top out in the mid to upper 80s. This is still well above average. We’ll once again see lows in the upper 40s and low to mid 50s by Saturday morning. A few clouds associated with the remnants of Hurricane Helene spinning over the Midwest could push into Southeastern Nebraska. These will move in late Friday, but will then move out by Saturday night. Meanwhile, it’ll be warm day on Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lower 90s. Expect similar highs on Sunday.

A cold front will push southeast through the area on Monday. This will bring a breezy northwest winds that might bring the wildfire threat up a bit. Temperatures will come down a little Monday with highs from the upper 70s northwest to the upper 80s southeast. The cooler air will be felt more Monday night through Tuesday night. Highs on Tuesday will be down in the upper 60s and low to mid 70s, which is closer to average for the first day of October. Temperatures will heat right back up on Wednesday and highs return to the 80s and lower
