One person suffered severe burn injuries following a plane crash near Macon shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon According to a report from the National Transportation Safety Board, the Cessna 182 crashed into trees shortly after takeoff from the Nocarva Airport. The lone person aboard the aircraft was transported to ECU North, then later by helicopter to the University of North Carolina Burn Center.
