Hull City- Youngster Extends Loan Spell Away By Another Month…

Hull City youngster Cameron Gray has extended his loan at Barton Town, as announced by the club’s official Academy X account.

Hull City have let the prospect stay with the non-league side for another month to help him get some more experience under his belt. He was given the green light to head out the exit door on a temporary basis to boost his development and get some exposure to senior football.

Gray, 18, has made three appearances for Barton Town since linking up with them, two of which have come in the league. They play their football in the Northern Counties East Football League and are sat in 12th place after two wins from their first eight games so far this season.

In this latest update regarding his situation, the Tigers have confirmed on X that they have let him prolong his stay at Marsh Lane for another four weeks. They play Winterton Rangers next on Saturday on home.

Hull City loan latest

Gray is a third-year scholar at Hull City and will be hoping to land his first professional contract next year.

He penned a scholarship deal back in 2022 and has been a regular for the Tigers at various different youth levels over recent years.

The teenager joined the club at Under-14’s level and has since worked his way up their academy.

The Hull-born man’s usual position is central midfield but he can play as a defensive midfielder or in a more attacking role if needed.

He will be hoping to break into the first-team down the line but in the meantime, he will be eager to show what he can do with Barton Town.

Hull City have produced some top talents such as Jacob Greaves and Keane Lewis-Potter and provide a pathway for young players.

What now?

The Tigers will need to decide what to do with Gray once his time with Barton Town comes to an end.

Tim Walter’s side are back in action this weekend with a home clash against Cardiff City.

They won 3-1 away at Stoke City last time out.
